A Junior Finance Specialist is responsible for the management of all types of financial accounts within an organization. In addition, he/she will analyze information, maintain accurate records, and assist with routine accounting tasks. The employee is also responsible for processing transactions, maintaining records, and communicating with suppliers in order to assist with the daily, monthly, and yearly accounting functions.
I. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures that the following documents are prepared: cash vouchers and check vouchers.
- purchase orders
- statements of accounts
- · Provides official receipts.
- · Releases checks to suppliers.
- · Review liquidation reports and receipts.
- · Prepares and releases the employee's BIR form 2316.
- · Maintains accounting and business document files to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
- · Assists in the preparation of bank transfer forms and ensures their delivery to the bank.
- · Keeps a record of all bank reconciliations.
- · Prepares a report on the disbursements of cash and checks.
- · Computes payroll of temporary employees.
- · Processes employee reimbursement requests.
- · Keeps the telegraphic transfer report up-to-date.
- · Complies with the requirements of various government agencies.
- · Provides assistance with the e-filing and processing of tax returns.
- · Maintains an inventory report of office equipment.
- · Prepares expense report.
- · Performs all other assignments as may be assigned from time to time.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
1. Education:
- · At a minimum, an Associate's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a similar field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Knowledge and Skills:
- · Proficient in advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel
- · With good verbal and written communication skills
- · Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- · Ability to work independently on assigned duties
- · Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines
- · Diligent and able to work long hours.
- · Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting.
3. Experience:
· With 1-2 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience
