JD Specialized Recruitment is currently assisting a company with a portfolio of lodges in South Africa, to recruit an experienced SAFARI OPERATIONS MANAGER
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a live-in position. Candidates must be based in Hoedspruit.
Role

- Oversee the operations and logistics of the lodges.
- Regular site inspections and meetings with Lodge Managers and ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Oversee capital projects, refurbishment, maintenance of lodges and other assets.
- Manage on-going profitability of the lodges.
- Set and monitor budgets and strategic goals and ensure monthly Rooms/Occupancy, Food & Beverage, Admin & General, are on target and accurate.
- Assist in procurement of supplies and equipment.
- Contract with vendors for essential equipment and services.
- Monitor staffing levels and productivity targets and make recommendations where required.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and train SOP for all operational departments,
- Conduct quarterly audits.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 year’s hospitality experience at recognised 5* properties.
- 3 years in a General Manager or Operations Manager positions
- Hospitality Degree or Diploma
- Up to date with trends and developments within the food and lodge industries, as well as international trends in hospitality.
- Exceptional planning, organisational, time-management and communication skills
- Sound Business and financial acumen.
- Results orientated.
