Job Description:
Plumbing Installation and Repair:Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout and configuration of plumbing systems.
Install pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures, ensuring proper alignment and connection.
Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues, and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and HVAC technicians, to ensure coordination of work.
Drainage and Sewage Systems:Install and maintain drainage and sewage systems, including pipes, fittings, and pumps.
Diagnose and troubleshoot drainage and sewage issues, and implement appropriate repairs or replacements.
Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance of drainage and sewage systems to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
Water Supply Systems:Install, repair, and maintain water supply systems, including pipes, valves, and pumps.
Test water flow and pressure, and make adjustments or repairs as necessary.
Install and service water heaters, including electric and gas-powered units.
Plumbing Fixture Installation:Install and repair plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, and faucets.
Connect and test plumbing fixtures to ensure proper functioning and water flow.
Perform repairs or replacements of fixtures that are damaged or malfunctioning.
Plumbing System Inspections:Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues or areas of improvement.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning drains and removing blockages.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Health and Safety Compliance:Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and guidelines in all plumbing activities.
Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe working environment.
Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant technical certifications or trade qualifications in plumbing.
- Proven experience as a plumber, preferably in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with plumbing tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
