Carseldine - Casual afternoon and overnight nanny
Nanny Start Date: 14/8/23
Pay Rate:
$30 (inclusive of tax) per hour plus super
Overnight set rate per night - $200 for sleeping hours
Days/ Hours:
- Monday to Friday
4:30pm – 6:30pm
- Occasional overnight care between 0-2 times per month 1-3 nights at a time.
At least 1 - 2 weeks notice in advance of these dates.
- (Optional) 7am-9am > 2 hours each morning daycare drop off
About the Family:
This role is for a professional single mother and two identical twin boys, almost 4 years old. In their family time they love going to the beach and exploring the rock pools and going to Sealife at Mooloolaba. They enjoy family craft, singing, cooking, baking, reading and playing together with toys in the playroom and have recently started getting into remote controlled cars and train sets. Mum is a career driven individual who works as a general manager engineer. The boys are full of energy, love playing outside in their cubby house, riding their bikes & enjoy water play with the hose when it's warm and riding around on their bikes.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an energetic nanny who is great at establishing routine and creating an environment of compliance and care. A special person who can bring a level of warmth to the boy's afternoon routine talking with them about their environment and motivating them to think through their challenges. Ideally our nanny would have a bubbly and warm personality, someone who can problem solve and work independently when mum is not home. This nanny will be driving the children around so a clean driving record and licence are required for this role. This family has a cleaner and will only expect that the nanny do general tidying and clean up.
Tasks:
- Pick up from day care at 4:30pm
- Driving children home/ to swimming lesson on Thursday
- Encouraging outdoor play
- Preparing dinner for children
- Evening routine - bath and teeth
- Overnight care stays will also be required 0-2 times per month for between 1-3 nights at a time. There will be at least 1 - 2 weeks notice in advance of these dates and a set rate for sleeping hours – this is due to the nature of Mum's work and will require someone who can have full care of the children.
Transport:
Australian licence required and nanny can use own vehicle with fuel allowance.
Must have:
- Blue card/ Police Check
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- 2 x Reference checks
- Own Vehicle
- ABN (desired but not required)
