5* Game Lodge experience essential

Newly build World Class 5* Game Lodge - Zululand - KZN

To provide support and assistance to the Lodge Manager. Act as his/her relief when the Lodge Manager is on leave or time off. In addition, this position will participation in the regular job rotation, which may include serving meals, running the desk, supporting the experience of guests, and delivering Lodge programmes.

Optimal day-to-day Lodge Operation at all times.

Liaise with the Lodge Manager on a continuous basis to provide feedback and seek assistance as required.

Minimum 3 years’ experience as Assistant Lodge Management/Hospitality Management/F/B Manager, ideally in a safari lodge environment

Hospitality Qualification

§ Together with Lodge Manager ensure optimal Lodge operations at all times.

§ Meet with Department Heads on a daily, weekly, monthly basis to discuss operations, staffing and training

§ Work with team to ensure maintenance of lodge is within budget parameters and required standards.

§ Liaise with the Lodge Manager on a continuous basis to provide feedback and seek assistance as required

§ Attend and execute Health and Safety meetings at the Lodge

§ Oversee any events/conferencing that take place in at the Lodge

§ Ad Hoc as & when required by Lodge Manager

§ Monitor staff performance on a daily/weekly basis and provide guidance where required.

§ Working closely with the Front desk to ensure optimal customer service, providing backup to the front desk/front of house in busy times

§ Hands on activity in each department when required and mostly daily

§ Prepare reports and manage budget allocations in each department

§ Working within company policies and procedures on a regular basis and ensure maintenance of it

§ Working closely with the Front of House to ensure optimal customer service, providing backup to the Lodge Anchors/front of house in busy times.

§ Handle customer issues and solve any situations as they arise.

§ Guest expectation regarding the standard of service should be exceeded. Ensure ultimate guest relations in the lodge and that the “at home” personal attention levels are maintained.

Salary R 23 000 including accommodation
