We are now looking for a Proposal Manager to join the ETO proposal team, working with Filtration Mods & Upgrades, in Metso´s Beneficiation, Dewatering & Hydrometallurgy Business Line.
As a Proposal Manager you are responsible for creating proposals for Engineer to Order (ETO) mods & upgrade solutions to meet customer and market area demand. This is done by gathering all necessary information from stakeholders to create a complete proposal scope including materials, engineering and project management, freight, etc. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, ETO Proposals.
This position will be located in Lappeenranta, Finland.
In this challenging role you will have the following main tasks or responsibilities:
Create Proposals for ETO mods & upgrade solutions to meet customer and market area demand.
Review customer inquiries, identifying needs, requirements, comments and expectations, and coordinate with engineering teams about engineering requirements for the scope.
Gather all costs for the scope regarding materials, freights and related work hours to ensure quoted price is aligned with BL profitability targets
Ensure proposal competitiveness by clearly communicating the Metso value add for our customer.
Ensure proposals are commercially viable and competitive while mitigating and managing Metso’s risk
Ensure the hand over as-sold packages to the project management teams together with MA proposal teams.
Coordinate ETO proposals with MA proposal teams to deliver a proposal with the most Metso value add.
Be part of developing standard commercial offerings for upgrades and retrofits together with Product groups and others, and deploy these to the Market Area teams for Opportunity generation
Work to ensure all related company intellectual property is controlled and protected
Other related duties and tasks assigned by line manager
To be successful in this role we are looking for a candidate with the following experience, skills and knowledge:

Read and understand drawings and specifications
Have a good general understanding of Filtration equipment
Willing to learn and improve
Collaborative
Have good working experience with Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
Be able to manage information flow from multiple stakeholders often in different countries
